Morgan Voke Thomason, soprano |
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, soprano and comedienne Morgan Justine Voke Thomason holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Furman University. A captivating artist, Morgan has been heard in the United States and Europe in opera, musical theater, recitals, and concerts. A few of Morgan’s favorite past engagements include Madame Thenardier in Les Misérables, and Susan in Company, both with the Furman University Pauper Players, as well as a concert series with composer Eric Whitacre as his Soprano Soloist with DCINY. Most recently, Morgan studied improvisational theater (another passion of hers) at the famed Second City in Chicago, Illinois. When Morgan isn’t performing, she enjoys contra dancing, cooking, traveling, and sipping tea (not coffee!) by the potful! Morgan currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina with her husband, tenor Josh Thomason, and their spunky yet sophisticated cat, Daenerys

Jake Thomason, tenor |
Originally from Powdersville, South Carolina, Tenor Jake Thomason holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Furman and Indiana Universities, respectively. A versatile performer, he has been heard in the United States and abroad in opera, concert, recital and oratorio venues. Mr. Thomason’s past engagements have included the title role in Faust with Mosaic Arts/Opera Carolina, and the role of Francois in Chadwick’s Tabasco opera with the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, Mr. Thomason appeared with GLOW Lyric Theatre at their Artisphere presentation, as well as being invited to Italy to sing 6 concerts with the Bassi Brugnatelli International Conducting and Singing Symposium. He currently resides in Greenville, SC with his wife, mezzo-soprano Laura Thomason, their cat Isolde and their dog Wyatt.

Arlen Clarke, baritone |
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Clarke received his Bachelor of Music in Voice from Belhaven University and a Master of Music in Voice from Texas Christian University. Prior to his appointment as Choirmaster at St. Mary’s Church in 2010, he sang roles in both operatic and oratorio productions throughout the U.S. He served as Director of Choral Activities at Belhaven University and has composed over 350 choral works and arrangements. This is his second year as a member of the SC Bach Society.
